HOSPITALS OF GREATER POLAND
A project to “Supply, configure and commission local and regional technical infrastructure – support for cloud computing (computing clusters, disk space, network switches, operating systems and specialist systems, access licences for server systems, UPS system) as part of the project: Providing the IT environments of provincial, county and municipal medical providers with IT tools to enable the implementation of EDM and creation of a network for data exchange between the medical providers of the provincial self-government”.
The project covered 53 hospitals in Greater Poland Province.
The following items were delivered under the contract:
- disk arrays with a capacity of 20 TB – 8 pcs.
- disk arrays with a capacity of 40 TB – 13 pcs.
- disk arrays with a capacity of 60 TB – 20 pcs.
- disk arrays with a capacity of 80 TB – 2 pcs.
- disk arrays with a capacity of 100 TB – 2 pcs.
- disk arrays with a capacity of 500 TB – 2 pcs.
- rack servers – 92 pcs.
- manageable network switches – 72 pcs.
- network border equipment (UTMs) – 70 pcs.
- WAF – Web Application Firewall, i.e., a transparent web application protection system – 2 pcs. in the cluster
- rack cabinets – 32 pcs.
- emergency power supply units (UPSs) – 65 pcs.
- zero-client PC terminals – 480 pcs.
- computer screens – 480 pcs.
- Microsoft access licences – 6656 pcs.
- Microsoft terminal licences – 410 pcs.
- server operating systems – 736 pcs.
- virtualisation of hardware resources in the local and regional part based on VMware products
- virtualisation of the network layer (SDN) based on VMware products
- private cloud based on VMware products
- VMware virtualisation platform management
- hardware infrastructure management system
- virtual machine backup system
The implementation included the following:
- installation, configuration, implementation and commissioning of local and regional infrastructure
- conducting acceptance tests, tests of business continuity, the functioning of virtual machines and cluster node failure simulations
- preparing and conducting training for 50 End Users
- providing technical support and maintenance services
